Creative Craft & Design

Course Description

The Craft PLC (Post Leaving Certificate) course at CTI Senior College, offers a broad education in craft and design, in a welcoming environment. Providing a range of diverse craft skills, from traditional to contemporary, we cater for all learners of all ages and craft experience. Centered on the disciplines of drawing and design, the curriculum creates opportunities for learners to realise their individual designs in ceramics, batik, print and paint. Craft suggests skill or technique – doing a job with careful attention to detail and discipline, and reflects the philosophy of this course.

This course aims to offer a supportive surrounding where people want to learn, be creative, have fun and discover new skills, talents and depths within themselves so they can develop personal and career opportunities. Work experience is a mandatory part of this course, where learners are introduced to the world of professional craft and design practice, in partnership with local and national stakeholders.
